Gauntlet Bird of Prey Centre



Gauntlet Birds of Prey Eagle and Vulture Park, which is situated at Knutsford is Cheshire's largest Falconry Centre.

The centre hosts the biggest collection of birds of prey in the North West, and features a comprehensive collection of eagles, vultures, falcons, kites, hawks and owls. Gauntlet offers a wide range of services including falconry courses, flying displays for shows and events, school visits, children's parties and photography workshops.

Courses range from a one hour taster through to a full day, during which the visitor can experience handling and flying a large variety of birds and provide educational visits for schools, youth organisations and groups. For further information consult their website at www.gauntlet.info


Directions

Gauntlet and Fryers are next to the Cottons Hotel, on the A50 Manchester Road, outside Knutsford.

From A537 Chelford Road and A50 Holmes Chapel Road. Head through the town centre and at the main roundabout go straight over and continue on A50 for approx one mile. Gauntlet and Fryers are on the left immediately after Cottons.

From M6 Junction 19, Tabley Roundabout. Take the exit off the roundabout for the A556 for Northwich. At first set of traffic lights turn left for Knutsford. At the main roundabout turn left and continue on A50 for approx one mile. Gauntlet and Fryers are on the left immediately after Cottons.

From M56 Junction 7. At the Bowdon roundabout take the A556 Chester Road, following signs for M6. Continue to the traffic lights at Bucklow Hill and turn left at the Swan Pub. Continue on A5034 Mereside Road for approx one mile until the T-Junction. Turn left and Gauntlet and Fryers are a few hundred yards on the right.
